كلها أفعال ناقصة، ولذلك يأتي بعدها الفعل في صورته الأساسية بلا to وبلا -s.

Will: المستقبل والقرار والوعد

السؤال: Will you come? والنفي: I won't come.
بعد when نستخدم المضارع: When he arrives, I will call you.
Would: الأدب والخيال والماضي
would + base verb | would not = wouldn't

Would مهمة للطلبات المهذبة والمواقف الخيالية، وليست مجرد ماضي will.
Can: القدرة والإذن والإمكان
can + base verb | cannot / can't

Could: الماضي والطلب والاحتمال
